GT-12 Chassis Rules

   
  Approved Chassis:
  • Must use current, commercially available 4” spring steel production chassis. No prototypes, no flexi-chassis are allowed. The approved chassis’ are listed below:
  • BSP Slotcar Performance
    • BSP01, BSP04, BSP06, BSP10
  • FX Racing Products
    • FX77, FX79, FX80, FX89, FX92 and FX93
  • JK Products
    • 10731 and 1073E
  • Kamen
    • 700
  • Kelly
    • 1520, 1521 G3, 1523 G3, 1527, 1529, 1530 and 1922
  • Mack
    • Bulldog, Bulldog2, Bulldog3, Stinger, Stinger2, Tazer
  • Mossetti Racing
    • 200, 200A
  • PMP
    • PMP2011
  • RPM
    • III (A & B )
  • Slick 7
    • 447, 447A, 447B, 446A, 446B, 496A, 497A, 498, 498A, 499, 499A, 69, 548, 572, 447C, 446C
  • SNIDER
    • Spencer

Allowed Chassis Modifications:

  • May solder or glue motor to chassis
  • May add lead or brass weight
  • May reinforce rear uprights with piano wire or Slick 7 “U” brace
  • May file highest rear axle bushing hole to level rear axle
  • May use a piano wire motor brace no longer than 1” and may connect to chassis motor bracket
  • Fixed or floating pin tubes and guide tongue support are allowed
Disallowed Chassis Modifications:
  • No ball bearings allowed at rear axle
  • No axle tube bracing front or rear
  • No cutting or modifying of chassis in any way. Chassis may be ever so slightly filed to increase or decrease movement of the chassis pan. However, beware that lightening a chassis is prohibited. This rule will be strictly interpreted .
