Note: GT-12 motor setup specifications and Le Mans Prototype motor setup specifications are identical.
Approved Motors:
- Must use current commercially available c-can motors with Group 12 armatures made by:
- Mura, RJR, Fast Ones, Pro Slot, Champion
- All Mura, RJR, ProSlot, Kelly, RJR, Koford and Camen cans including light are allowed
- Twister set-ups are allowed.
- Armatures:
- Allowable diameter is a Minimum of .510 and a maximum of .518
- All armatures must have a tag
- Minimum stack length .350
Allowed Motor Modifications:
- May shim, hone and epoxy magnets.
- SMQ, Kelly and Camen magnets are allowed
- May mix or match components from any of the approved manufacturers listed above in any combination
- May change spring cup to accommodate any spring.
- May change motor brushes
- Must be legal components from motors designed for the c-can .510-.518 armatures
- May use ball bearings in the can
Disallowed Motor Modifications:
- No Feather or strap cans allowed
